A pair of cheerful red jade and 14 karat gold hoop earrings. Jadeite jade is most commonly seen in shades of green, but it comes in a veritable rainbow of colors. These vintage earrings are a warm red -a lovely bright hue - with mottled texture. Jade is a mineral known for its excellent toughness (resistance to breakage) due to its structure composed of interlocking small crystals. Each hoop takes the shape of a 3/4 ring, capped on either side with a 14 karat gold piece.  Earrings are complete with a pair of 14k gold friction backs.

Excellent condition - one earring has a slightly flattened edge along the back of the bezel - see detail photos. This is not noticeable when worn.
